WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
The Brightside is wheelchair accessible via our main entrance on Warner Street. There are no steps at the front, and patrons using wheelchairs have ground-level access to the Beer Garden and The Brightside Outdoors stage. Inside, the main room has a small ramp providing access to the lower level of The Brightside Indoors.
Unfortunately, we do not currently have accessible bathrooms on-site.
For priority entry or assistance getting around the venue, hit us up at hello@thebrightsidebrisbane.com.au before your show—we’re always happy to help.
Please note: our indoor mezzanine level (which overlooks the main stage) is only accessible via stairs and does not have a lift.
There’s no private car park at the venue, but metered parking is available on nearby streets through Brisbane City Council. We’re also located directly next to the McWhirters paid car park.
COMPANION CARDS
We honour Companion Cards. To arrange a companion ticket, email hello@thebrightsidebrisbane.com.au ahead of the show. On the night, just bring your Companion Card with you when your ticket is scanned.
SEATING
Most shows at The Brightside are general admission standing, but if you’re unable to stand for long periods, we can provide seating and priority entry. Just get in touch with us beforehand.
The Brightside Indoors has two levels: a ground floor (wheelchair accessible with a ramp) and a mezzanine (accessible only via stairs). The mezzanine offers a better view for seated guests, so let us know what works best for your mobility needs.
Outdoor shows are ground level only. We’ll always do our best to make sure seated patrons get a decent sight line.
LOW LIGHTING & STROBES
Lighting is kept dim for most shows, and strobe or flashing effects may be used. If you have low vision or are sensitive to strobes, please contact us in advance—we’ll do our best to assist or provide a heads-up where possible. While we aim to provide signage for strobe-heavy events, it may not always be guaranteed.
SUPPORT ANIMALS
Support and assistance animals are welcome at The Brightside. Just flick us an email beforehand so we can sort priority entry or a reserved spot if needed. That said, please keep in mind—it’s a loud, high-energy venue, so if your animal spooks easily, consider an alternative aid for the night.
TOILETS
The Brightside’s toilets (male and female) are only accessible via stairs. We currently do not have an accessible bathroom.
QUIET SPACES
Need a moment to breathe? Our team can help you find a quieter area to decompress—usually the beer garden offers a break from the crowd, though it depends on the night. Just chat to any staff member if you need assistance.
NEED SOMETHING ELSE?
We want everyone to have a good time—if there’s something you need, please reach out ahead of time at hello@thebrightsidebrisbane.com.au, or speak to our team on the night.
OUR HOUSE POLICIES
Respect the space (and each other).
The Brightside is built on inclusivity, good tunes, and good vibes. Whether you’re here for beers, bands, or both—respect the people around you. No harassment. No aggression. No creeping. No exceptions.
If you ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable, tell a member of our staff. We’re here to back you.
Dress code? We’re not fancy, but you do need clothes and enclosed shoes.
Management rights. Venue management and security reserve the right to refuse entry or service at their discretion—especially if you’re being a pain or not following our policies.
Drink like a human, not a funnel - The Brightside is a licensed venue. That means we serve responsibly, and we expect you to drink responsibly too. Don’t ruin your night or anyone else’s.
